Scribbled ballpoint pen drawing on notebook paper. The Imp grinning holds up a couple dollar bills in each hand. The sitting man smiles and declares, We eat! Imp replies, What do you mean we, poog? Caption: Thanks for the dough.
The Institute as always is grateful to our donors without whom our Imp might waste away.

Simple cartoony drawing. A meditating man says, I've always searched for something that will make the world make sense. A small imp with devil horns and a striped shirt/dress replies, What you need to do is get comfortable living in a world that doesn't make sense.
Reposting for my friend Jay. He liked this one. I gave him the original. RIP
Lots of mini-comics in a tattered box with Back Issues scrawled on it in marker. In the background, a cluttered desk, an Altoids box, artists tools in coffee cups. One cup says Morro Bay California. One says Bianchi.
Our flagship title is on hiatus. Many backissues are still available, and still free. Get @ me.
Unix terminal session. White text, black background. List of processes executed in the course of burning a CD.
Our mix tapes are also available on compact disc, by request.
Cover image. Simple pen drawing. The letters LUUUV scattered around with a couple red hearts and a face vomiting.
Another mix already? Yes. Laid-back luv sawngs for cuffing season. Live at eliashiebert.com/tapes
Simple cartoony pen drawing. A head in profile with a lock symbol on it. Each of us is always alone in their own head. No way in or out.
A bunch of heads with lock symbols on the side. Two are talking to each other, two are looking at something, two are kissing. But at least we're all alone together.
In the mail today! Meditation Funnies #27! I'm not revealing the cover this time cuz I want you to see it for the first time in print. If you're not on board, contact me in some way for your free copy!

A collection of waveforms in an audio editor application.
Looks like a new mix is happening. Check for it around the end of the month. eliashiebert.com/tapes
The meditating man says New Electronic Editions now available! The phrase electronic editions is in that old school computer font you seen on the bottom of your checkbook.
Brand new electronic versions of Meditation Funnies numbers 3, 6, 24 and 25 now in the ko-fi shop and at archive.org, for all you who like to read off a screen or just don't want to wait for the mail.
The imp shows with his fingers the four new editions: number 3, number 6, number 24, number 25.
Regular paper version of many issues are still available on request. Hit me up here or write to POSTAL CUSTOMER / PO BOX 200394 / DENVER CO 80220

Cover of a minicomic. A guy in a crown holds a flaming sword over his head. Meditation Funnies. Number 26. June-July. Free.
Page from a minicomic. When I'm confronted with a reasonable argument, here's what I wish would happen. Guy with swoopy hair and a scarf says, I disagree because XYZ. Our boy says, Honest consideration of your position and clarification of my own, leading us both to greater understanding.
Here's what normally happens though. Our boy says, The first rebuttal that comes into my mind, usually some made-up bullshit. I'm winning!
Our boy sits in meditation posture saying, Despite evidence to the contrary, my brain convinces me I'm not a good person. The Imp says, Well, you could try believing you're a good person, or you could try not needing to be a good person. The chicken says, Have you tried not trying?
At long last it's June! As promised, there's a brand new issue of Meditation Funnies! Free as always. If you're on the list, it's already in the mail. If you're not, drop me a line here or by 🐌📪:

A minicomic in a guillotine trimmer. Slivers of paper in a big pile next to it.

The next issue features my first full bleed (!) so I have to trim each copy. I think I did a decent job on most of them 😊

Available June 1st!
Courtesy of Fantagraphics on Instagram, this is a perfect comic strip

A two panel Nancy comic strip by Ernie Bushmiller. Nancy and Sluggo are on a big deserted beach. Far, far in the distance is an amusement park. Nancy: Please get me some hot dogs. I'm starving. Sluggo: Okay but it's two miles to the lunch stand. One hour later, one line of footprints leads to the amusement park, and another line leads back to where a sweating Sluggo asks a shocked and famished Nancy, Which kind of mustard, Schultz's or O'Brien's?
